The Butterfly Net and Frog Net is made of 1/2” plain aluminum tubing on a 15” diameter hoop. It has a 1" diameter diamond-embossed aluminum 6" handle into which you can easily attach a 7/8" unvarnished handle available in most hardware stores. We do sell such 24” and 30” long handles (which come disassembled). These are commercial grade heavy-duty nets, not dime-store products.
